For his last project, Cesar Manrique – celebrated architect of Lanzarote – lovingly turned an old quarry into a magical place where cacti flowers from all over the world can bloom. The Jardín de Cactus boasts around 4500 specimens of 450 different species from the five continents.
Discover this inspiring place through the eyes of the artist – the lush green of the plants contrasts with the blue of the sky and the black of the volcano creates an unforgettable explosion of colour.

I really loved the place. I think I have never seen so many different cactuses and this was the perfect chance to do that.
