Casa De Meli Picnic is an alternative idea that will take your breath away. Fuerteventura is full of incredible and unique landscapes that the actions of natural forces have created over the centuries. Discovering them is not easy because they are often hidden or only accessible on foot. Although the basic idea is a picnic in one of these magical places, everything is made special by the minuteness and meticulousness with which it is organised.
Each picnic is tailor-made for the guests according to their requests and needs. The experience is exclusive and allows you to enjoy the atmosphere of these special places pampered by the caring attention of the owner Melina. Having moved to Fuerteventura years ago, she fells in love with the island and, craving of loving inquisitiveness, has always spent a lot of time exploring the most remote corners of the island, doing outdoor activities, like running, that really allowed her to get in deep contact with the concealed nature.
Thus, she invented this concept, to share with temporary visitors these enchanting places. The happy and proud owner proposes to accompany guests directly to the place (strictly secret until arrival!), recommending a short hike to the more sporty souls. The experiences on offer are different and according to them so are the places, but in all of them you will be sure to be completely immersed in nature and enjoy an unmissable landscape.
The atmosphere that will envelop you will be created by the profound creativity and passion for interior design of Melina, who has designed this not-to-be-missed experience with sophisticated equipment, typical food made with km0 products, and autochthonous drinks. In fact, not only is the picnic taken care of down to the last detail, but it is also 100% eco-friendly!
All the products are recycled, second-hand, handmade or purchased locally to contribute to sustainability and the circular economy. The products are all fresh from the nearby countryside or grown directly in Melina’s garden, while the processed food is made by her own hands. The surprises at Casa de meli do not end. In the fishing village of Las Playtas, Melina offers warm hospitality in a delightful house. Just a few steps away from the Playa, its strategic location allows guests to take pleasant and relaxing walks through the quiet streets of the village, plus reach the beach on foot.
Here too, Melina’s passion for design and vocation for sustainability work together to create an incredible result. Every object is in its right place. You will be greeted by second hand furniture and small exquisite details everywhere that create a sophisticated, homely atmosphere. Nothing is missing in the house; the kitchen offers refined and special facilities for all needs and requirements.
