FINCA's products
Although Fuerteventura may not seem like the perfect island for farming, Doramas and her family will surprise you: they are involved in the cultivation of numerous species of flora, including several fruit trees. The main vegetation of the Finca where the farmhouse is located are olive trees of two different types, from which they strive to produce a fragrant olive oil. For all guests, a special home-made souvenir is ready: a bottle of their delicious olive oil. It will delight you at the mere blow.

In the Santana Lopez family, the passion started with wine. They are among the few who cultivate grapes in the island’s arid and difficult to cultivate soils, producing a delicious and fragrant wine in their workshop, and offer guests tasting opportunities. Surrounded by a vast green expanse of well-tended shrubs and animals of all kinds, the agritourism reflects the rural characteristics of the place. You will be surrounded by animals of all kinds, from cats to chickens. In addition, Doramas kindly takes care of the donkeys of the endangered Burro majorero species and also provides children’s experiences.

Sustainability and events for sharing it
The family is committed to sustainability for the future of our planet and future generations. For years they have proudly maintained the certificate of Reserva de biosfera de Fuerteventura for their cultivation and care for animals, especially the endangered species of Burro majorero. They maintain traditional farming methods including the windmill and a well for water, to which they have added a canalisation system to irrigate the trees.

Amongst eco-products and services, they organise events and tastings for interested people, also for families with children to show the traditional customs. One of their favourite activities is undoubtedly tasting products cooked in the Finca’s traditional, centuries-old wood-fired oven, a treat for the few.
